Just had a look at Surviving Debt, but didn’t see anything relevant to leases for solar systems. It’s not a mortgage or a car, but a 25-year solar lease.
I quit consumer advocacy services in 2016, but tried to assist a long-time client/friend with her many problems with Sunnova Energy, and now Docusign and the BBB. We were unable to retain a California attorney to represent her due to the mandatory arbitration clause.
Thousands of consumers have filed complaints with the BBB and AGs, but apparently, their only option is to stop payments to Sunnova.
Does the NCLC have any publications that would be helpful?
Great resource for all sorts of debts, but I don’t see solar leases:
