9/29/24 Update: Next is the complaint with the Sheriff #
Docusign refused to examine its customer Sunnova Energy’s Amendment to determine the authenticity of the Docusign signatures on the apparently photoshopped document. DocuSign’s Maria refused to answer any of our questions.
Our only option is to file a report with local law enforcement, the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
I will prepare an affidavit and our documentation for my client’s complaint with the Sheriff, limited to Docusign and Sunnova’s digital signature fraud.
Hopefully, we will soon have proof that Sunnova photoshopped this fraudulent Amendment to provide to regulators, legislators, attorneys, and media.
For months I have requested Docusign’s assistance with this apparently fraudulent Sunnova Amendment. Just like the BBB and Sunnova, Docusign failed to assist and it refused to answer any questions.
On 9/29/24 Angelifa, Docusign wrote:
In addition, we can only provide the envelope details to an authenticated sender, signer, and the administrator of the sending account.
My client is the alleged signer. DocuSign refuses to assist because her digital signature is fraudulent and not “authenticated”?
We are documenting that Docusign is another corrupt corporation actively working to facilitate systemic fraud against consumers to maximize its own and its customers’ profits:
RACKETEERING
Aside from our emails posted below, I also repeatedly requested assistance in the Docusign community forum and apparently my account was disabled and my posts were removed.

Case Number: 14237151
Hello Christine,
This is Angelifa from DocuSign Customer Support, responding on Maria’s behalf while she’s out of the office. Rest assured that we will do our best to help.
I understand how you feel about the situation and your questions about the envelope you received.
To answer your questions:
- Please request assistance from your customer Sunnova Energy.
- Why has Docusign failed to investigate this likely forged document despite my numerous emails and posts in its forum?
- Docusign refuses to examine the apparently photo-shopped Amendment provided by Docusign customer Sunnova Energy.
- Our only option is to file a report with law enforcement against Sunnova Energy for creating the fraudulent Amendment and against Docusign for condoning its customers’ digital signature fraud and refusing to examine likely photo-shopped fraudulent Docusign signatures.Answer:
DocuSign does not refuse to examine the envelope. If you believe the document you received is fraudulent, we have an appropriate team to investigate. You may submit your report online.
Upon successfully submitting an allegation through the portal, you will receive a confirmation pop-up window with a case reference number. The reference number can be used if you need to submit a follow-up report through the portal or contact DocuSign Support to see if there’s any information we are allowed to provide. The case reference number format is ALG-0000-00-0000.
The Fraud Investigations team will not provide complainants with the investigation status or the outcomes.
For legal matters, please refer here: docusign.com/legal/law-enforcement
- From the Sunnova Amendment provided to Docusign for authentication: “DocuSign Envelope ID: 491201FF-492-422D-A806-21BB75BEFEEA5”
This Envelope ID is meaningless and purely decorative?
Answer:The envelope ID consists of 32 hexadecimal digits arranged in groups (8-4-4-4-12) separated by hyphens. Below is a typical example of a GUID:
9AC1A6F1-4A87-4624-B5F5-B74D494E21E0.
This will help us view the sender, recipients, and fields (signature, textbox) but not how the document looks.
The envelope ID you provided must be complete in the correct format to pull it up.
In addition, we can only provide the envelope details to an authenticated sender, signer, and the administrator of the sending account.
If you are not one of these parties, please refer to https://www.docusign.com/legal/law-enforcement to request information.
- Why am I unable to copy the letters and numbers below my client’s signature in this Sunnova Amendment?
Answer:Once the recipient signs the envelope, the signature will be an image, so the number cannot be copied.
- What does it take for Docusign to suspend Sunnova’s account and notify law enforcement?
Answer:If our Fraud team determines that the sender violated our Docusign Terms and Conditions (T&C) , they will close/suspend the account.
- Why do you want to talk to me on the telephone?
Answer:This will be helpful if we need more details about your inquiry or concern or if you have any additional concerns.
I hope you understand the limitations we have here at DocuSign support. We are limited to addressing billing and technical issues. For other concerns, please refer to the appropriate team mentioned above.
Thank you.

9/28/24 email to Maria, Docusign, regarding NO support #
9/28/24
Hello Maria,
I do not understand how your email relates to my “notice of publication” in my last email to you. As I wrote, we will file a complaint with the Sheriff.
Regarding your link https://www.docusign.com/legal/law-enforcement:
“DOCUSIGN eSIGNATURE
With respect to DocuSign eSignature, DocuSign encrypts the contents of documents that are stored on its systems and is therefore unable to search the contents of documents or produce a decrypted or plaintext version. All requests for information from DocuSign eSignature must identify the envelope or account at issue with particularity (e.g., by providing the email address of the account holder, Envelope ID and/or Account ID and a date range associated with the transaction(s) at issue).
In response to requests for envelopes in DocuSign eSignature, DocuSign produces the Certificate of Completion and/or Envelope History (Audit Trail) for a given envelope. For more information and examples of these records, please visit our Support Page.”
I submitted the apparently photoshopped Sunnova Amendment with the Envelope ID, date, the account holder (Sunnova) and I even provided you with my extremely detailed analysis and evidence that the Sunnova Amendment was likely photoshopped.
You ignored me and hopefully, a deputy will be contacting your legal department soon.
It is my opinion that DocuSign has an obligation to inform consumers who suspect that DocuSign signatures were falsified whether a document is authentic or not.
There are no privacy issues as we were not looking for any information but only authentication of the likely photoshopped Sunnova Amendment.
A simple “yes – authentic” or “no – not authentic” would have been sufficient.
If Docusign had informed us that the Sunnova Amendment was not authentic, we would have filed a criminal complaint against Sunnova back in July instead of wasting so much time trying to get answers from Sunnova directly and then through the BBB complaint.
- Imagine the burden and cost to law enforcement if everybody has to file a formal report to authenticate legal documents!
- Imagine how many consumers would be alive today if Docusign wasn’t actively protecting known fraudsters.
Docusign’s refusal to authenticate the Sunnova likely photoshopped Amendment impacted very negatively on my client’s and my health. The STRESS and FRUSTRATION is killing us. Docusign could not possibly care less. It’s all about PROFITS.
I believe that Docusign is legally obligated to investigate claims of Docusign signature fraud by its customers.
It is now up to regulators, legislators, and hopefully judges to decide whether they agree with my conclusion that DocuSign is guilty of racketeering.
Docusign is protecting its customer Sunnova Energy while in possession of the likely photoshopped Sunnova Amendment because PROFITS from Sunnova’s payments are more important than Sunnova’s photoshopping of Docusign signatures in legal documents.
Sincerely,
Christine Baker

Docusign must advise of any information on this page it deems incorrect.
Hello Maria,
We will not waste more time and resources on sending snail mail to your legal department.
I am widely publicizing our correspondence and my racketeering investigation on websites, social media and in upcoming press releases. I am preparing my affidavit pertaining to Docusign’s refusal to determine the authenticiy the Docusign signatures on the apparently photoshopped Sunnova Energy Amendment for law enforcement.
Please advise if any of these statements are inaccurate:
1) Docusign refuses to examine the apparently photo-shopped Amendment provided by Docusign customer Sunnova Energy.
2) Our only option is to file a report with law enforcement against Sunnova Energy for creating the fraudulent Amendment and against Docusign for condoning its customers’ digital signature fraud and refusing to examine likely photo-shopped fraudulent Docusign signatures.
3) The information published at [this URL] is factual.
Please forward our entire correspondence to your legal department for review and evaluation of my publications.

9/26/24 Analysis of Sunnova’s Amendment to Docusign #
9/26/24
Hello Maria,
Please forward this email to your legal department for a more useful response by tomorrow, 9/27/24.
We provided you with the document titled Lease Amendment, allegedly signed by my client on 5/19/14, downloaded from your customer Sunnova Energy’s website in my client’s account. We have no “alternate signing method code of the document.”
1) Please request assistance from your customer Sunnova Energy.
Repeatedly we asked Sunnova why it has been utilizing a Guaranteed Production Schedule, aka “Power Production Guarantee”, with figures lower than in my client’s contract. Sunnova decreased the payments my client was entitled to according to the original contract. Production was often less than guaranteed due to the solar system’s poor design, outages and Sunnova’s failure to monitor and repair its solar system.
Sunnova refused to answer our questions initially submitted by email and then in our published BBB complaint:
Our questions to the BBB:
https://sunnova-solar-fraud.org/kb/solar/bbb/2024-9-18-questions-to-houston-bbb-regarding-its-false-sunnova-energy-rating/2) From the Sunnova Amendment provided to Docusign for authentication:
“DocuSign Envelope ID: 491201FF-492-422D-A806-21BB75BEFEEA5”
This Envelope ID is meaningless and purely decorative?
3) Why am I unable to copy the letters and numbers below my client’s signature in this Sunnova Amendment?
I attempted to copy the letters and numbers from the Sunnova Amendment in Adobe Acrobat Reader but I can only select and copy an “image”. Strangely, it has a black background when I paste it into this email [image redacted]:
The screenshot of the signature: [image redacted]
Successfully copied from another Docusign document: 76AA2381>7244449 …
These numbers under the Docusign digital signatures are also meaningless and purely decorative?
4) Why has Docusign failed to investigate this likely forged document despite my numerous emails and posts in its forum?
This Sunnova Amendment contains numerous red flags. Yet Docusign did absolutely NOTHING to assist and investigate.
5) What does it take for Docusign to suspend Sunnova’s account and notify law enforcement?
What are the Docusign procedures to prevent fraud?
6) Why do you want to talk to me on the telephone?
If it’s important, we put it in writing. However, I do hope that Docusign will get to speak with our representatives in Congress and regulators, under oath and on the record, to explain Docusign’s role in this fraud and its refusal to investigate allegedly fraudulent documents.
Sincerely,
Christine Baker

9/26/24 Maria at Docusign requires “alternate signing method code” to investigate #
Case Number: 14237151
Hello Christine,
I hope all is well.
This is regarding the need to verify a document’s signature. Thank you for your time and effort in raising this concern. We’ll try our best to assist you.
To start the investigation, do you have a copy of the alternate signing method code of the document? The purpose of that is for us to check the data report and activities of it. You may view the email notification of that document and below is the image of where the alternate signing method code is located:
In addition, may I please have your phone number and the best time and time zone I can reach you in case we would need to have a call?
Looking forward to your response.

My 9/25/24 email re. no reply from Docusign #
9/25/24
Did I miss your reply?
I searched my trash, junk and spam and found nothing.
I am preparing my comprehensive report for regulators, legislators, attorneys and media, requesting that Sunnova Energy, the Houston BBB and Docusign be investigated and prosecuted for racketeering.
For over two months my attempts to have Docusign authenticate the attached likely falsified document miserably failed.
Docusign values its profits much more than the integrity of its system. NOBODY should ever sign documents electronically as there is no way to determine whether signatures have been forged.
Please provide your response by Friday, 9/27/24.
Sincerely,
Christine Baker
8/26/24 email to Docusign re. failure to identify itself and requirement to purchase “plan” for support #
8/26/24
Hello Docusign Security,
Why does your email come from “Security Account” with NO indication that it is from Docusign? Apparently you want us to DELETE your messages because they look exactly like from SCAMMERS.
I can’t take this BS anymore!
After over 4 hours just today, dealing with your nonsensical replies, I’ve had it.
I will NOT waste more time reading BS crap that goes nowhere:
I want absolutely NOTHING to do with your “plans”.
If you fail to provide a MEANINGFUL response I’ll have to request assistance from regulators or legislators. ONLY techies should ever sign a document provided by your service as you offer NO support and allow criminals to defraud with impunity — anything for a buck!!!
Most sincerely,
Christine Baker

Docusign refuses to assist consumers and makes autoresponse look like SPAM / SCAM #
1) Regulators must require businesses to properly identify themselves in emails.
Sending emails from “Security Account” indicates that it is a phishing or scam email.
In late May 2024 I got corneal ulcers from excessing screentime, eye strain, and stress and I almost lost sight in my left eye. To date, I have trouble with my now extremely sensitive eyes. I often have to use a magnifying glass to read email because I am very nearsighted and my glasses are for driving.
However, even with perfect vision, many consumers would delete an email from “Security Account” as spam or scam. I found the email in my trash when I searched for all mail from “docusign” on 8/26/24. I use minimal spam filtering, but quite likely these types of automated emails from “Security Account” will often be filtered to SPAM and the recipients will never see this autoresponse.
Docusign is deliberately failing to identify itself to minimize consumer replies.
2) The links provided to report fraud will NOT result in a response from Docusign — USELESS!

7/16/24 email to Docusign security@docusign.com with the Sunnova Amendment, requesting assistance with signature authentication #
7/16/24
Hello,
Many consumers claim they did NOT sign allegedly e-signed contracts.
How does one authenticate signatures?
Attached is my client’s alleged Amendment that appears forged, with my client’s signature twice (in husband’s field), and with identical IDs under each purported signature, as if it was copied.
Which email was this Addendum sent to and how was it signed? IP?
What were the procedures in 2014 when this document was supposedly signed? Would there have been an acknowledgement after signing?
We greatly appreciate your prompt assistance,
Christine Baker
